Quite a bit of lespedeza- is grow’ing this summer throughout the county. It is a wonderful soil conserv ing crop. Crrmson clover would mako an excellent soil .conserving crop for vhe winter due to fine stem and thiek growth. This prevents w’ashing of tha soil. Compliance Work f A state-wide meeting will be held hi Columbia this week of extension workers and officials of the associ- jation to receive instructions on com pliance work of the farm program. Within the near future the communi ty committeemen will be in the field surveying crop acreage for compli ance for application for grants.
