Mrs. Fish is the daughter of Mrs. James Givens Arnold and the late Mr. Arnold of Spartanburg. She at tended Converse college and was graduated with a B. S. degree, later attending the University of Virginia, and the past three years has been a member of the faculty at Converse college. ' ——- Dr. Fish is the son of Mrs. Eldmund Fish and the late^Dr. Fish of Water- ville, Mame.-.:He received his under graduate degree at Bowdowin college, Maine, and his doctor’s degree at Har vard- university. For the , past two years he has headed the biology de partment at Presbyterian college. Dr. and Mrs. Fish will be at home in Clinton after September. They will spend three months in travel in vari ous places. , ANNOUNCEMENT PARTY FOR MISS MEDORA BROWNING On Saturday evening at eight o’clock, one of the loveliest parties of the season, in an al fresco setting, was given by Dr. and Mrs. Geqrge R. Blalock at their home in College View, announcing the engagement and ap proaching marriage of Miss Medora Bfownihg of this city, and Joe Piper of* Grenville.ja-— The spacious garden was a scene of loveliness. In the center was the bride-elect’s table, beautifully lighted and appointed with silver and crys tal, her place being marked with a lovely corsage. Surrounding this were five smaller tables decorated likewise, the color scheme of green and white prevailing throughout. The announcement was made in quite a unique manner.
