Wednesday afternoon. Contest? were
enjoyed the first of which was “Love
in the Kitchen.” The second was
.‘^Shirtwaist Romance.” The winners
of these contests graciously present
ed the prizes to the bride. The tables
in the dining room w'ere made beau
tiful with a profusion of red rose
buds and pansies. Mrs. Rehtz, as
sisted by Mrs. L. A. Bunch, served
delicious ice cream and pound cake.

HAS BIRTHDAY PARTY
Little Patsy Fowler celebrated her
fifth birthday Saturday afternoon
with a delightful party, to which 26
of her little friends were invited.
Mrsi. Fowler, assisted by her sister,
Mrs. Tom, Cooper, Mrs. B. B. Ballard
and Mrs. Lynn Cooper, amused the
children on the lawn with games.
. Afterwards, the little folk were in
vited to the dining room where pink
and white roses made a scene of
beauty. The table, covered with a
lovely Irish lace cloth, was centered
with a beautiful birthday cake, gleam-
ing with^ five candles. The cake was
cuf and served with delicious icc
cream. The color scheme of pink and
white was carried out.
\ The girls were presented with fans
and the boys were given balls. Each
little guest remembered Patsy with
a gift.
