From James Fennimore Cooper’s
tion has sUrted a federal program; their performance of last year when
designed jto make farm owners out they won the state championship. The
of 1,000 tenants in ‘ ten southern ciemson Tigers still remain as a bar^
rier, which will either be passed or
not passed Thanksgiving day. Having
seen both teams in action, it is my
belief that Ciemson will win but not
without a stiff tussle. ■ -
' Beautiful Sirrine stadium was ded
icated in Greenville last Saturday
with the usual speeches and color.
This dedication didn’t prove as suc
cessful as was-expected due to the
three dollar-tkkfit-charge. Only half
the number of expected customers
filed into the stands, whereas if a'
dollar less had b^n charged there is
little doubt but that there would have
been a complete sell-oux; with more
than $5,000 added to the profits of
North Carolina and 59 in Tennessee.
President Roosevelt said in his
campaign speeches that federal ac
tion on the farm tenancy problem
could be expected.
