In' all true womanly excellencies she' deservedly held a high place in the estimation of a hirge circle of friends. Modest and unassuming, yet she had positive convictions and ever loyal to truth and duty. Her aihiable disposition, evident sipcerity and thoughtful kindness won the esteem and confidences of all who were as- sociated with her and made her life a worthy example. Acknowledging the Lord in all her ways, her .Mfe in her home and com munity was beautiful and influential, and is its own monument of Chri.stian womanhood. To a spirit Hke hers, death came as a coronation of a use ful, well-spent life. Therefore, be it resolved: That in the passing of Mrs. David son the Auxiliary of Broad^ Street Methodist church sorely fqels the loss of a true friend, whose virtues we appreciated, whose devotion to duty we admired, and whose friendship we nncerely cherished, but we rejoice that our loss is her eternal gainv That we bow in humble submission to God’s will.
