Giles, in a very unique manner, pre

holds a position with the Laurens Silk
mill. The young couple for the pres
ent are making-their home here with
the bride’s parents on Musgrove

qualities of love and good will are still
missing. Man is in possession of un
precedented powers, he is becoming
the victim of a machine age and the
world grows more doubtful of its
horsemambip.
Continuing, Dr. Fulton said, the su
preme need of the present is men and
women of character*, who ring true
and stand unshaken and possess the
moral and spiritual elements of con
trol. I believe, he said, that a test
should be put to every young man and
woman entering college to ascertain
if they possess such character. Be
smart, young graduates, he said, but
