The eighth grade seems to be start ing out very young. By the time they ‘are in the eleventh grade they will know all about courting. They seem to have a party almost every Friday ^ night. They w’alk home from the 1)3rty and they believe that the longest way round is the sweeteat way home. Jack Holland and Maigaret Brice were .^een together at the Athletic Banquet. They make a cute couple. It seems as^if some boys from Co lumbia are beating Lykes Henderson’s time at a white house on North Broad Street. ... Mies Lon^ was seen driving a green Chev rolet the other day and I don’t believe she owns- one. I also saw Mr. R. G. Watson driving the same car. . . . Stu dents say that there is ^ certain com mercial teacher who has a way down at Goldville with a certain young lady who plays the piano and the violin and is a'^teacher at Goldville. . . . Our coach’s car is seen very often parked, in front of IMr. Pinson’s ho^. I don’t belieVe that Coach is going to see Mr. Pinson about three out of the seven nights, do you? .... It is also heard that the new French teacher has been seen 'with a local newspap erman very frequently. ... It seems that the Biology teacher and the Ag riculture teacher are getting along very fine. Maybe he’s teaching her to be a farmer’s wife, who knows? . . . . Dot Taylor is seen sitting on the front porch of her home waiting to catch a glimpse of a T model ford with a small fat boy driving.
