He studied architecture at Clemson and Auburn colleges, and is now con nected with the International H**"-: vester company, with headquarters in Rock Hill. Mood Smith, who suffered serious injuries last Sunday afternoon, in an automobile accident, was report ed yesterday as resting comfortably at the Hays hospital, her condition not being as serious as was first feared. | Dr. and Mrs.^Smith, accompanied by their son and daughte.r-in-law, I)r. and Mr!). Felder Smith, occupying the lat ter’s car, were en' route to Waterloo when the accident occurred on South Harper street in the city of I.aurens. The car collided with a machine .said to have been drjveiv by Manning Chapman. The impact turned the Smith ca*r over, pinning Mrs. Smith beneath it. Aid. was immediately given and after removing the- machine Mrs. Smkh was rushed to the Laurens hos pital for treatment. She was trans ferred here Monday to the local hos pital for further surgical treatment. Dr. Mood Smith al?o sustained pain ful injuries, nec<*ssitating his confine ment at home for several days.
