In view of the fact that there has recently been added a county-wide tax o{J2 mills for the support of the high schools of the county, the Board of Trustees of Hunter District So. 5. has recommended that our district reduce its special levy for school purposes in this district by 2 mills. ! We wi.sh to further state that in ac- tcordance with the law and in.stru-tions TVom the County Board of Educaiion. it is necessary that a petition be oro- sented to the County Board of Educa tion, signed by the trustees and three- fourths of the re.sidents of this school district who are subject to payment of special school taxes. We have had prepared for circula tion .six copies of said petition to give the taxpayers of this district an op portunity to express themaelves. One copy of the petition has been left at The Chronicle office where it may be signed by all who so desire. .Signed : T, I.. W. BAII.EY, B. H. BOYD, C. M. BAILEY. Trustees Hunter District No. 5.1 !
