The pastor c^me along and going up to George, said: ‘Well, my little man, how much do vou charge for your lemonade?” ‘‘Five cents a glass,” replied George. - ‘‘And how much do you charge?” he asked, turning to Harry, who ran the competing stand. “Two cents a glass,” replied Harry,- The pastor cast a censorious eye-iipon George and said to Harry, “I’ll try a glass of yours, my boy.” ^ As^ he quaffed the fluid, he smacked his lips and said, That s j^d. ril have another glass,” and he smiled when he thought he was getting two glasses at less than George asked for one. “Tell me, my little man,” he said to Harry, “how you can afford to sell your lemonade for two cents a glass when George is asking for five cents?” “Well, you see,” said Harry, “the cat fell in my pail.” NOW—HERE’S THE MORAL When the price is cut there is usually a reason. Her recital consists of three groups; the first, early English and American songs in old fa.?hioned costumes; the second, Irish and S' otch sc/ngs in Irish co.?tume; and the last, songs of mod em composers, in evening dress. Mrs. Lane has a magnetic person ality and a charming .stave prc'ence which immediately wins her audiences to her.
