Then he presented each one present with a lovely white carnation. To eager and excited listeners, Mr. Moorhead then read the following an nouncement of a double wedding: Miss Eugenia Granger to A. D. Bar ron, and Miss Alice Backus to J. H. Dendy, the weddings taking place last Saturday night at Ridgeland. Mrs. Barron is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Granger of Savan nah, Ga. The groom is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Barron of Fort Lawm, and is the efficient cotton buy er of the Joanna Cotton mills. Mrs. Dendy is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Backus, also of Savannah. Mr. Dendy is the son of Mrs. P. D. Barron of Umony and is conhected with the Joanna organiza tion as head paymaster.
