Agriculture is the backbone of South Carolina as well as of the whole South. In the United States Senate there are already 63 Lawyers, But Only I Farmer, Sen. E. D. Smith The FARMERS have one spokesman from their own number—Senator Smith. We predict that the FARMERS of South Carolina will go to the polls on Tuesday, September 14th and win their own fight, and see to it that they continue to have a “dirt farmer” represent them in the United States Sen ate In the first primary, Senator Smith led Brown in 27 counties, and in 13 counties obtained a majority over both candidates. Brown had a majority in only 7 coun ties and led Smith in only 17. The 80,000 who did not vote in the first primary and the large majority of the Dial vote will give Senator Smith a tremendous majority in the second primary. All that is needed to win the fight against MISREP RESENTATION and the MONEY POWER is for the Farmers, Laborers and all good citizens to go to the Bal lot Box Tuesday, September 14th, and vote for E.
