The season is at hand and the farmers are beginning to turn their attention toward fertilizer for their next crop. This subject, fertilizer, b and has created a great deal of inter est among our farmers. I am glad to see this, too, for fertilizer is very important in producing an economical crop. It is necessary that the plant {ood be dissolved in the soil moisture .be fore it is available to the growing crop. When dissolved it may either be absorbed by the growing crop or lost from the soil through leaching. This will determine the amount of last year’s fertilizer in the soil for this year.
