As sisted by Mrs. R. W. Wade and Mrs. A. V. -Martin, Mrs. Fant served a delightful salad course with coffee or tea, followed by a sweet course. H. Mrs. Bur roughs has been spending the holi days with her son, Mr. Paul Bur roughs, and while here was the recipi ent of a number of social attentions. Mrs. Burroughs possesses a voice of remarkable tone and cadence and her son. If r. Morris Burroughs, is quite a talented musician. The young peo ple returned to town and shared the celebration of the bells. This enjoy able occasion was chaperoned by Mrs. D. W. Mason and Mrs. A. B. IslgL Be Hayed Saturday The opening basketball game of the Presbyterian College schedule will be played in the LeRoy Springs gymna sium Saturday night at 8 o’clock. The P. C. quintet will asset the PndBc Mills tbsaera and a lively cage battle is expected. The Columbia team has been furnishing the opening opposi tion for several years and always presents one of the best teams in the state. The gymnasium is well heated and those who' attend may expect a lively battle and at the same time be assured of a comfortable seat in a well heated building. The whistle blows promptly at 8 o’clock with an admission price of 50 cents.
