FINE OUTLOOK IN BASKETBALL Walter Johnson Has Several Veterans Of Last Year’s Team Back Far • . This Season. The basketball squad is now limber ing up in their holiday training period. The Blue Stocking quintet will not open their season until after the Christmas vacation season. The sche dule has not yet been completed, sev eral state games yet being indefinite. Captain Walker and fifteen young Calvanists are hard at work on the fundamentals of the game. The prac tical periods are being' taken up with dribbling, pivoting, passing long shots and short shots and other fundamen tals. The squad is looking fine and with six regulars or letter men from last year’s squad back on the floor, the outlook at P. C. is bright The following men are candidates for the team: From last year’s squad, Captain Walker, Nick Hunter, Mof- fatt, Jones, Robinson, W. C. Martin and Joe Martin. Other candidates are Charlie Wilson, Stamps, Witherspoon, NUMBER 50 Dugan, Sadler and Stevens year’s rat squad, and Jaeisen, Knight, Porter and Mathewson. With this hunch out Coach John son is looking forward to a brilliant season. Last year was not a vary successful year for the basketeers of Presbyterian, but this year they hope to coma back and show their stuff and put more game* on the won side than they do on the lost hide.
