'4.- y Faurttain and Bottle^Qrinks— Candy at 80c and over-x j THE TAX COMMISSION RULED THAT ICE CREAM SOLD AT CHURCHES IS A FOOD AND TAX- EXEMPT; WHILE SOLD ELSEWHERE IT IS A LUXURY WITH 20% T We Are Required to Advance the State t •V I Money Without Interest L- State Revenue Stamps must be purchased and placed on all of above items (excepting fountain goods) before they can be exhibited for sale. Our failure to comply subjects us to a heavy penalty. * • • - ' V * i 4 This means an enormous amount of money (from $300.00 to $1,500.00,. depending upon the size of stock) must be used to purchase stamps for goods, some of which may not be sold for weeks, months, or perhaps never. And Legislature has made no provision for reimbursing^ us on stamped articles unsold at expiration of the law.. . There is no estimating the amount it costs us to collect this tax for the State and keep the records required “by the commission. Keep your money at home. This tax goes to this state. When you buy through mail order houses you pay taxes to another state. Stand back of your druggist—He did not make the tax. TRADE AT HOME. .
