Miss Olive Chambliss of Luthers- ville, Ga., spent Sunday in the city with friends. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Pitts, Misses Emmie Pitts and Annie B. Adair are visiting in Aiken. Mr. Geo. M. Flanagan of Hender sonville, spent the week-end in the city, having come down to visit his brother, J. Harold Flanagan who is now recuperating from an operation at Dr. Hays' Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Allen F. Lide and their three children and Miss Berry Wilson is spending her . n with relatives In Abbeville. Mr. and Mrs, Joe Duncan of Co lumbia, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Duncan for the past week end. Miss Alliene Hipp left Saturday for Newberry where she will join friends and go to Hendersonville for several weeks stay. Miss Emmie Brown has returned to her home in Spartanburg after a visit to Miss Agatha Bailey. Miss Sara Knox has returned from several weeks stay with relatives in Alabama. T. Hearn and Miss Mamie Ruth Holland in honor of Miss Judith Howie, of Darlington. Tables were arranged for progressive rook and Miss Agatha Bailey, Mrs. O. T. Lowing and Ralph Adair assist ed the hostess in serving sherbert-ade and cake. The guests included Misses Judith Hdwle, Robbie Adair, Jeanette Crawford, Janet Leake, Clara Louise O'Daniel, Catherine Coleman, Marga ret Goldwin, Fay Adair, Helen Adair, Adelle Cooper, Martha Blakely, Mar- that Power, Mary Todd, Willie Rudd Fuller, Reginald Peake, Elizabeth Shealy, Nannie Young Tribble, Ja- hella Boland, fllmira Ray, Julia Rid dle and Ada Dillard.
