C. it Big Piano Sale and Demonstration e j for Mullins. The Jordan Music Cnipany, of Mul-I e;lins( has arranged with the Jordan di Music Company, of Charleston to beif;gin one of the largest piano sales and j demonstrations ever pulled off in the j State, on Monday, August 11, at 10 I nVInr>lr tr> pnntinno tan rlnvc y j Lawson Jordan, who is in charge of the Jordan Music Company in Mullins, and whom the people of the 'community have known for the past twelve years, is a thorough, practical 'and reliable piano man, having spent jseveral years in one of the largest 'piano factories in the United States ilearning the business. Mr. Jordan states that he will have on display the very latest player pianos known i to the trade, also the regular old ; line straight pianos,'organs and talking machines, and that a special musical program will be arranged for each afternoon. With each piano sold jduring the demonstration, the purchaser will be presented with a handisonie boudoir chair and six copies of (popular sheet music. He expects to have the assistance of Mr. Fred Jordan, President of the Jordan Music Company, and corps of salesmen and musicians from the big Charleston store, who know the piano business, and are in position to show you what you buy before you buy it. The ladies are especially invited to make this store their headquarters when in Mullins,. and particularly during the special demonstration. Ample entertainment will always be furnished. o TOBACCO BADLY DAMAGED. The heavy rains of the past few days have had a bad effect on tobacco. eports from different sections of the county say the crop has been damaged from 30 to 40 per cent. If the damage has not been over-estimated the county will lose thousands of dollars on account of the poor grades. It was a most damaging rain, so many farmers claim, tjiat has been visited upon the tobacco crop since the beginning of the industry in this section. The damage was not confined to Dillon. It is all over the tobacco belt in South Carolina and the loss in dollars will be enormous. Cotton has not suffered. The land was dry and the water was absorbed rapidly. Cotton is shedding but it was loaded with fruit and could not have carried to maturity what it had. Tobacco farmers are very blue over their misfortune as they were expecting high prices for the better grades. / CREDITORS NOTICE Ha/ing qualified as administrator of the estate of A.
