The "fight of a life" has been witnessed, according to a statement made to-day by Dr. Haldricks O'Donnell, an XRay expert, who has been following 1 up experiments made by Dr. W. J. 1 Kilner, of London, England who has written a scientific paper on 1 the subject. "Some time ago, using a chemicalized film sealed between two thin , Kt riliu nt' irlnuu I n'hnnn/.ll ?rovu a demonstration to twenty students of the 'electrical radiation' of living bodies, four young women being used as subjects. Tlie'aura' devel- ' oped a strong ray for light sur- ' rounding the entire form of the 1 subject. "Last night, said Dr. O'Donnell, ' "in the presence of several physicians at Mercy Hospital I tried the experiment on a dying man. He ' was rapidly sinking. Suddenly the attending physician announced that 1 the man was dead. The 'aura' began to spread from the body and I presently disappeared. Further observation of the corpse revealed no 1897. Lloyd Green was tried in Sumter county, at the summer term, 1910, before Judge Memminger, of Charleston. the indictment alleging that lie "did unlawfully accept, re-' I ceive, store and keep in posscssv ion" alcoholic drinks, the indictment being under the prohibition ^ statute of 1909. Anna Henderson was aLso tried. Green was found ! IgVj^uilty. The appeal was then taken. . The Court charged that that was correct 1 it -? ? *1 uuucr me uju uispensurj law, when the State engaged in the sale of liquors, and that it would be correct as applied to the law in any county in the State in which there is a dispensary, but that in a county which has no dispensary (such , as Sumter, where the indictment is laid,) the mere having in possession of liquor, no matter for what purpose, nor how small a quantity it may be, is illegal. Judge Meiuniingci- Erred. "We think His Honor erred in holding that the words 'store and keep in possession' have a different meaning and construction in counties where the sale of liquor is prohibited, from that which they have in counties where liquors are lawfully sold through dispensaries. We find no warrant in reason or authority for such variable construction. In Easley vs. Pegg, 63 S. C., 102, it was helil that the offence of storing and keeping in possession contrabrand liquors involves the idea of continually inhabit. The same construction and < meaning must be given to the same words, used in the Act of 190y, as was given them in the Act of! might 1k? by his side and nurse him. Since then she has been his constant attendant and will continue to nurse him at his home. It was said to-day that the pair might marry shortly to put a finishing touch on the romance.
