Phone li3 W Miscellaneous One of the most interesting sec tions ol a newspaper is the c-assit. ed advertising. If one wants n | know what me home folks are do ^ ing and how they are living, muc».. j. can he learned from these liitk j notices. A paper like The Times, w&.’ci. ’-••presents in each Issue a large mini — "ber of classified ads, thereby proves ^•that it jpmes close to the daily Hit ? of the people. It is evidence th-r. »v- the newspaper goes very uni versa ii> g into the homes, and is thbuguifuib g read and studied £ S These columns eoulu be used p. 1 promote an amazing amount of use -♦ ... { l’ul (exchanges. Probably. _ everj 1 I family In this place has 'articles would like io get rid of, but which Vbuld havt considerable value tc g someone. And about every family ^ would like to buy some little article, ^ ^»ut the majority may not feel that l they can now afford to buy much 1 new stuff. • Now if the families that would 4* -like to soil would use a little ad. in the For Sales, they could get rid oi “* tlfietr discarded stuff aua realize quite a little money on it. Then they couid go to the dealers, and ge« ^ some fine piece on which they have - set their hearts. There are always people who would like to live in some other section of £ the town, or have some different kind of a house. They fear they could not sell or rent iheir property ~ advantageously. Alible, ad. in the ib right, column would quickly enough 'j bring inquiries for their own pro- E perty, another lit'.le one would bring them offers of the kind of thing * they want. And so one could go on Indefinite ly showing how these ads reach into the most intimate corners of daily ~ life. Almost any human want, 11 g purchasable for money or within the - reach of ambition, can be satisfied ^ l>y this means. G. H. Hopkins, Deputy, Rooms 6 and 8 Willismson Building. M. R. Vickers - . Diamond values depend upon characteristics which can usually be judged only by experienced purchasers. The market price of Diamonds is pretty well estab lished and a cut price usually means an inferior stone. For both sentimental and business reasons no one wants to give to another or to posses: a shoddy Diamond. An engagement diamond espe cially should be of the highest quality if it would express the true sentiment for which it stands. You should by all means buy only uf an esablislled and reputable local dealer. SULZBACHER JEWELRY CO.
