Joel E. Brunson, the prohibi

filed his pledge to abide the result
of the democratic primary. We
take this to mean that Mr. Brun

still a democrat and will conduct
his fight within the party.
War and pestilence—these two
are frequently coupled. We have
war, we had small pox, and we
might have yellow fever, the latt

the authorities have acted with
commendable promptness, and we
sincerely hope they may be able to
prevent the disease from spread

cough for several years, and last
fall had a more severe cough than
ever before. I have used many
remedies without receiving much
relief, and being recommended to
try a bottle of Chamberlain’s Co» gh

to me, I tried it, and with the most

How to Look Good.
Good looks are really more than
•kin deep, depending entirely on a
I healthy condition of all the vital
! organs. If the liver is inactive,
you have a bilious look; if your
j stomach is disordered, you have a
dyspeptic look. Secure good health
and you will surely have good
looks. “Electric Bisters,” is a
good alterative and tonic. Act*
directly on the stomach, liver a jd
kidneys, purifies the blood, cnif^
pimples, blotches and -rar and
haste, and furthermore do not care
to have the transports of troops
encounter prowling Spanish ships.
lu the light of the foregoing, it
il impossible to tell when the
army will move.
We can only wait and see.
One thing is evident, however:
■peaking of haste, no complaint i f
that kind can be brought against
the conduct of this war.
