This body should meet and discuss the sit uation and take immediate action to fan vitality, in the shape of fi nancial support, into the face of this organ of the interests of Flor ence, and resuscitate it, thereby giving it greater opportunities to usefulness, aud at the same time giving it a better opportunity to prove that it is verily a factor in promoting material prosperity in our city. J. P. McNeill. IT IS PROFITABLE T» Advertise in the Columns of the Daily Times—So Says a Business Han. To the Citizens of Florence. It is essential to the material development and welfare of our city to have a daily paper. We point with pride to the fact that we have one, and now to let it collapse would be a decided step backwards, and this we cannot af ford to take. These gentlemen cannot tun this paper without sup port. They only ask enough to pay expenses, and it is to be hoped that the citizens generally and the business men especially will see where circumstances may warrant early changes.
