The ships occupying their positions of yes terday resumed theirexercises with their main battery at an early hour. By 6 o’clock the roar of the big guns could be distinctly heard in the city. These exercises were practically identical with that of yesterday. The practice was then discontinued until 2 p. m., whep it was once more resumed, this time with the four and six-inch guns.
