We are glad to announce that she has somewhat improved. Out of the 360 scholars in the Graded school an average of 50 absences have been reported re ported daily for the past 10 days. All these absences are caused by the epidemic La Grippe. Now is the time to mjtke tax rejurn*. Everybody should re member this fact. ‘The county auditor, W. L. Harrell, advises us to warn those of our subscribers who are delinquent. A Coaiuopolltnn Traveler. A. W. Moore, of Florence, S. C, who h«s been visiting Columbia, leaves for Florida to-night. Mr. Moore is the traveling correspon dent of the Pythian Lodge Secret, the official organ of Georgia, and his brother Knights look for his breezy, entertaining letters as one of the best features of the hand some paper of the order. This cosmopolitan traveler will spend a month in Florida, and then will leave for Texas, Califdrn- ia and Seattle, Wash-, returning through the Northwest. The Great Remenyl Proves His Right to the Title—A Delightful Concert. Edouard Remenyi, the world- famous Hungarian violinist, as sisted by Miss Florida Parsons, pianist, and Miss Florence Adler, soprano, gave his long looked-for cencert in the*Of>era House cn Saturday night. The audience was small, but made up in enthusiasm and genuine appreciation for what it lacked in numbers. Miss Parsons showed herself a master of the piano, and Miss Ad ler has a tuneful, well-trained voice, whose low notes particularly are remarkably full, clear and sweet.
