Atlanta, Ga., February 3.—The General Assembly of Georgia met to-day to consider the report of the special committee appointed at the recent session to investigate the charges against Judge } L. Sweat, of the Brunswick circuit, and Judge Seaborn Reese. Judge Reese was charged with drunken ness, and. the committee, which had investigated the charges in the interim between the sessions, submitted a report vindicating both. The report was adopt ed. When the House met the ses sion was plunged into disorder by a resolution of Mel Branch, Popu list, of Columbia conn y, who de sired o reject the report. It was charged that the coin nitt e had over stepped its prerogative in making any recommendation in Measures of Interest to the Coun ties Considered. New Bills Still .Coming in.
