The machine shops have been anchored to the ground with iron bolts to make it more secure. Train 78 had an unusually largo crowd of people this morning on their way home for the Christmas holidays. Shed man’s celebrated trained dogs and monkeys are with us and will remain until Saturday night giving two performances daily. Matinee at 3 p.m. Night performances at 8 o’clock. A Croat Show. Shedman Bros, after a most sue- ful week at Wushingpei, are now here with their celebrated show of trained dogs, monkeys, pigeons, etc , giving two shows per day. Their funny songs, dances, and the like, are very amusing and entertaining. The trapeze per formance is good. The monkeys ai d dogs show remarkable train ing and intelligence, and the circus dogs one riding another and jump ing as well as any human rider, is something never before seen here. Several remarkable monkeys are very interesting in their feats. It is here for a few days only.—Kings Weekly. A Gospel Ship. For some little time a twenty foot sloop called Gospel ship No.l has been cruising in the region about St. Andrew’s Bay, Fla., with Jhristian evangelists aboard, doing missionary work auvmg the sailors and the residents along shore. A new boat, to l»e forty feet long, and to be called Gospel Ship No. 2, is now building, and, when finished, is to cruise along the Gulf of Mexico, doing mission ary work. Subscriptions toward building the boat have been re ceived from various parts of the Union, and a minister from Massa chusetts is to sail on it.—New York Sun.
