The latest in hosiery is said to be pockets woven in the top, for carrying valuables. Wai rants have been issued for the arrest of the men engaged in theColletcn murder. Theodore Durrant has been de nied a new trial and will be exe cuted on the 21st of February. Glemson cheese has taken the highest award at the Atlanta ex position, and the students are justly proud of it. The National convention of col ored men met in Detroit, Michi gan to-day. One object of the convention is to organize the four teen State bodies into a national society. Charleston’s Gala week is prov ing a grand success, according to accounts given of it. The city’s hospitality is taxed to the utmost and every train is loaded with vis itors. An illuminated, bicycle pa rade is the attraction for this evening. It is estimated that the floral parade yesterday was wit nessed by thirty thousand people. Turkish-dispatches grow v. orse daily, the last one giving an ac count of villages homed, fifty thousand people being made home less, and several burned alive by taking refuge in burning build ings. Confusion is said to “reign supreme” in the {loyal palace, and the government is doing nnth- jli£ to prevent, further outrages. The museum of Confederate relics, the old Jefferson Davis mansion, has an interesting col lection of historical value. The* following is a partial list as clip ped from an exchange: “The De Reuno collection, of Georgia, which has been donated, is said to be second in value of all the collections in the South. It was presented to the committee by Mr. De Reune on the eighty-sixth birthday of president Davis. Other relics ore the cap, gaunt lets and sword ot Gen. 1/e, the plumes from Gen.
