Mr. Herman Bradham after spend ing several days in Manning last week, has returned to his home in Rocky Mount, N. C. Miss Moore will return very soon to take up her work again. Mrs. W. F. Steinberg. underwent a surgical operation last Friday in a hospital in New York. A telegram this morning states that she is doing well. Rev. S. A. Nettles of Dover, N. C., is spending today with his sister, Mrs. E. C. Alsbrook. He will leave tonight for Camden, to visit his brother Dr. L. W. Nettles. Easter services will be held at the Episcopal Chapel Sunday at eight o'clock. It is hoped that our people will attend this service as it is beau tiful and impressive. Messrs. Charles Thomas and Wel born Brailsford have purchased a pair of ferrets from Ohio, and they now expect these little animals to clean out all the rats that infest that block. Dr. and Mrs. Frank Geiger are guests at the St. John's Hotel in Char leston this week while visiting Mag nolia Gardens and other attractions in the beautiful "city by the sea." Much interest is being displayed in the Revival Services which are being held in the Methodist Church this week. The services are being con ducted by the pastor, Rev. Fowler, and good crowds are a'ttending both at the morning and evening services. On last Saturday morning there was a meeting of the Black Oak Hunt ing Club held at the offices of Mr. S. W. Barron for the purpose of tran sacting business and forming new by laws. At the close of the meeting Mr. Barron the secretary of the club, presented to the members present a neat fishing tackle and shell pouch with his compliments.
