C., March 14. The Chicago Opera Company gave an entertainment in chapel last Saturday night, which was very much enjoyed by all present. The program consist ed of popular songs, plays, and the latest hits in music. All these were given in a very pleasing manner by the sextette to a full house. On Friday, March 3rd, the Clemson basketball team closed its 1921 sea son by defeating the Presbyterian College team by a large majority score. The Presbyterians put up a plucky fight but the Tigers were too strong for ther. The Davidson quintet came to Clem son on February 21st, and captured a fast game of basketball from Clem son. "Cliff" Crawford of Sumter, who is well known in Clarendon Coun ty, is captain of the Davidson team and he ran up a total of eight points for his team. Mr. James Burgess of Greer, S. C. -And formerly of Manning, 'sited the Manning boys at Clemson last Sun day. The present session is to be cut one week short, according to announce ment made by President Riggs last week. This was done in order to make preparations for the Summer School session, which begins on June 14th, and also for the Junior R. O. T. C. members to attend the R. O. T. C. training camp. Accordingly, the present session will end on June 6, instead of June 14th as it appears in the catalog. The examinations for the second term for the members of the Junior and senior classes ended last Friday, and those for the freshmen and sop homers will end on Friday, March 17th.
