C-OPERATIVE MARKETING CAMPAIGN PROGRESSING The meetings at New Zion and Manning last Thursday added some thing over 200,000 pounds of tobacco to the Association from this county. At the meetings numbers of men stood up pledging themselves to give one or more (lays work to the cam iaign, and already results are coming in showing that these men are keep ing their word. Those farmers wh came out Thursday to hear Dr. Poe or Dr. Joy ner were given quite a treat, as these distinguished gentlemen made mag nificent addresses. It is encouraging to know that men of this type, throughout the Tobacco Belt are lending their efforts to the forward ing of this great movement. Meetings at Barrineau Cross Roads and Turbeville-Thursday afternoon at 2:30 a meeting will be held at Turbeville and Friday at 11 o'clock one at Barrineau Cross Roads. At these meetings Mr. Bondurant, a Vir ginia tobacco grower, and W. R. Gray, County Agent will discuss The Co-operative Marketing of Tobacco. Some of the most influential ien in the above sections are already work ing for the Association, and no trouble is anticipated in getting a record sign up from these important tobacco dis tricts. I wish to announce that I now have on hand a supply of contracts and other literature relating to The To bacco Assochstion. Any one needing some of this will be promptly supplied if they will get in touch with me. If you have not signed a Tobacco Contract, get busy.
