Manning, S. C. THE VALUE OF SOFT DRINKS Pgople become hot and thirsty and drink a bottle of some soft drink, thinking that it is for the thirst, but this is not true, in the mrin. When thiy become overheated they become fatigued. It is th'e call of the body for stimulation which causes their action. Soft drinks contain a certain amount of sugar. This sugar, through the chemical action when placed in the drink, becomes what we call invert sugar, a highly nourishing food. Invest sugar needs no digestion. As soon as the drink reaches the stom ach the sugar is carried immediately into the blood and thcre is an instan taneous feeling of exhilaration caused by the fo6d properties furnishing ad ditional energy. Therein lies the value of soft drinks. T'he sugar furnishes strength to the body and invert sugar is the purest coicent rated food known. There is absolutely no% waste, and it is absorbed imme diatelv into the blood without the body laborimg to digest it. Drink CHERO COLA with No bad after effect. rhere's none so good.
