I., May 30 (Delayed). -The greatest continually active vol cano in the world; the crater of the earth's largest dormant volcano; ma jestic coast lines; banking sands miles upon miles of pineapples anI sugar cane; a miniature Grand Can yon of the Colorado; these and a hun dred other impressive and novel sights will be spread before the dele gates to the Press Congress of the World which will meet in I-Ionolulu next October. When the business sessions are over the entertainment committee formed in lawaii'intends to take the delegates on a steamer tour of the islands and in the eight days planned for this tri pan interesting itinerary will be followed. The vessel will skirt the majestic winward coast of Molokai and from its decks the delegates will see the famous leper settlement of Kalau papa, a settlement that promises soon to pass into history with the ever in creasing progress being made against the disease by the chaulmoogra oil specific extracted in the University of lawaii laboratories. On the island of Maui a great ro deo is planned for the visiting pub lishers and editors and there also they will be taken to visit the en chanting Iao valley and other beauty spots. On that island, too, they will be given opportunity to explore Ha leakala, the greatest of extinct vol canoes, 10,000 feet high, with a crater 3,000 feet. (ee) and more than 20 miles in circumference. Skirting the east coast of the is land of Hawaii, the largest of the grou), Mauna Kea, the Pacific's lof tiest peak, its snow clad summit breaking the clouds, will offer a scenic thrill before the party lands at Hilo, the second largest city in the territory. From Ililo an auto ride will take the delegates to Kil auca, 30 miles distant, where the lava in the crater of Ilamaumau (the house of fire) never ceases its rest less swirl. After side trips into historic dis tricts of the island of flacwaii, the travelers will board their steamer again near the sp-t, where Captain Cook, discoverer of the islands, was killed by the natives, a spot marked by an imposing monument. While the visitors will be given every opportunity to see the natural beautier. of the i-lands they will also have a chance to estimate for them selves the great industrial impor tance of the territory in the vistas of sugar c-ne, pineapple, coffee and tobacco fields spread out in every direction. AND WINTER CABBAGE Clemson College, June 27.-In grow ing fall and winter cabbage it is ad visable to sow the seed before the enl of June in a cold frame or bed so located that it can be easily water ed. It is very necessary to have well developedl plants by transplanting time, which is the first of September, says Prof. C. C. Newman, chief of the horticultural division. The Charles ton Wakcfield, Succession and Late Flat Dutch are three of the best varie ties. The Charleston Wakefield will matuire about three weeks before the Succession, and the Succession about three weeks before the late Flat Dutch. FARM PRODUCTS MAKE ADVANCES Washington, June 2G.-Prices of farm crops advanced -uring May from the general level of prices ob taining simce June, 1920, according to a report issued today by the department of agriculture, bureau of crop estimates. The average price of wheat jump ed last month from 1.11 to 1.21 a bushel; corn rose three cents to a basis of 62 1-2 cents; rye from $1.05 to $1.12 and apples from $1.42 to $1.69.
