TOB. A-J B1 SOLDIERS BLOWN UP BY IRISH CIVILIANS Armed Men Bomb Military Stores - Firemen Refues to Extenguish Flames. Cork, July 19.-(By the Associated Press.)-Two military lorries loaded with soldiers which passed through the streets of Cork at 3 o'clock this morning were attacked by civilians with bombs and blown up. Between sixty-and seventy soldiers were in jured. The civilians threw twenty nine bombs. This attack followed a night of ter ror into which the city was plungedl as a result of street lighting in which Sinn Feiners and the military partic- I cipated. Two men were killed and t some forty were wounded in the gun- i fighting, which brought the total cas- a unIties well over the 100 mark. Use Guerrilla Tactics. The Sinn Feiners used the guerilla I tactics which had been outlined in the t plan of campaign of the republican a army. b The fighting broke out as the result of a bayonetting incident in the street in which a former soldier was killed. About 10 P. M. indiscriminate firing started in virtually all sections of the city. The casualties reported up to this morning were one (lead and four teen wounded. The firing, which was participated m in, it is stated, by military patrols in el .motor lorries and armored cars caused 1I consternation. Frightened women and he children hurried into side streets and fo doorways. Many knocked frantically sii at numerous houses for admittance.
