Harvin. Mr. 3. W. 13Brton, linotype operator on The Times. who has been ill with pneumonia, is much better, and hopes to be at his post next week. Mr. Ingram Bradham, of the Brad ham Duroe Farm, is in the Ohio sales circuit buying some new blood for his herd. Mrs. Leila Mloore, who has been ill several days with the flu, is now able to be about and will resume her teach ing. Mis. N. Gist Gee, of Soochow, China who has been quite sick at the home of her brother, Mr. J. E. Davis, in Manning, is improving slowvJy. A telephone message was received here Monday night announcing the illness of Mr. E. B. Brown in a hos pital in Savannah, Ga. If something is not dlone the hogs, which are taking charge of the town will root up the paving as fast as it is put down. - Mr. Taylor Stukes, who is located in Charleston, visited his parents, Mr.', and I Mrs. J. F. Stukes in Manning last week, 'he Civic League has booked a large Glee Club for a near date, announee ment of which will be made in next week's paper. Mesdames E. S. Ervin, J. HI. Orvin andl Miss Mildred E'rvin spent several days of last week in Charleston ,at tending Grand Opera while there. Mr. J. B. larvin, of Summerton, is in Abbville, N. C., Mr. lilarvin was sc.nt there by a specialist for his health. Mrs. Iarvin is also in a sani- t tarium in Richiend.
