The Womaen's Mis ionary Union, the organized body of southern Baptist women, has agreed o raise $15,000,000 or one-fifth of the otal sum, while Dr. I. J. Van Ness, orresponding secretary of the Baptist sunday School Board, is asking that he Sunday schools of the South con ribute $2,500,000 as their share of he big sum. This will afford the ,800,000 boys and girls enrolled in he Baptist Sunday schools of the south an opportunity to have a vital art in the biggest task their de iomination has ever undertaken. BAPTISTS PLAN FIVE-YEAR PRO GRAMS FOR SUNDAY SCHOOLS Here is the program which the Bap tist Sunday Schools o fthe South plan to carr yout in connection with the Baptist 75 Million Campaign: Add 1,500,000 to the enrollment. Give $2,500,000, through, special lays, to the general cause of the cam paign. Secure 150,000 diploma holders in the teacher-training courses. Have 25,000 Senior-Adult and 10,000 Intermediate registered classes in the Drganized Class Department. LAYMEN'S MOVEMENT IS BOOST FOR MISSIONS During the first eleven years of the La-ymen's Missionary Movement the gifts of American Christians of all churches to foreign missions increased from $8,459,650 to $20,437,861 per an num ,and a prominent magazine at tributes much of the increase to the increased interest of the laymer aroused by this organization. During the first eleven years of this move. ment among Southern Baptists the gifts to home and foreign missions b3 them have increased from $668,223,34 to $2,292,751.09 per annum.
