GIRL MOTHER CHARGED WITH HORRIBLE MURDER Greenville, Aug. 21.-That it came to its death at the hands of its own mother, Miss Sunie Mabry, was the verdit of a coroner's jury at the inquest over the body of a' new-born baby, in a hand bag under the bed of the young woman. This has been one of the most horrible murders in the history of Greenville. The muti lated body of the baby was found in the hand bag concea l. d under the bed in a room at a local lodging house following the removal to the city hos pital of Sunie Mabry, the occupant of the room, upon orders of a local phy sician who was summoned by friends of the young woman after she had informed them that she needed medi cal attention. An examination of the body of the infant showed that it had been killed by the use of soni si. rp instru ment, and the dliscovery of a short black-handled pocket knife in the bag with the hodly wouIld lndicate that .it was the weapon with wriich the mur' der was commniitted. The body of the child showed four woundls, any one of which would have caused it death. Sheriff Wil lis was notified of the affair and he placed a guard at the room of Sunie Mabry at the City hospital. When first visited by the physician, the young woman, whose home is at Pacolet, denied that she had given birth to a child when questioned. The physician immediately ordered the woman removed to the city hospital. The child was a well-formed healthy appearing girl. It weigned seven and a half pounds.
