Clemson College, S. C., June 11. Those who keep poulery for profit should make arrangements to plant several acres of cow peas this spring. Several experiments in feed ing cow peas to laying hens, fatten ing turkeys, pigeons, and even crack ed for baby chicks and developing youngsters, go to prove that there is no grain of greater value to the poul try or pigeon producer. Cow peas contain 2! per cent pro tein, the food from which the whites of the eggs are made by the laying hen, or about two-thirds as much of 1this valuable constitutent as cot tonseed meal. It is necessary to grind the peas for poultry food; sim ply add them to the mixture of grains the hens receive. A simple egg-making mixture to be fed twice daily in litter to make the hens scratch to find the kernels is 100 pounds of cow peas; 100 pounds of cracked corn, and 100 pounds of whole oats or sorghum seed. This has been fed with success. Another way to use the cow peas is to add one quart of cow peas to every two parts of the grain mixture you are feeding. lens running on a good, natural range where they can obtain bugs and vegetable food, will lay well in summer when fed the cow peas mix ture of grains alone. It is unneces sary to use the Clemson Egg Mash until next fall when natural food is deficient. A constant supply of fresh water and shell material should be before the hens at all times. CHANGE "A MIRACLE" Greer Woman Talks Interestingly of Her Remarkable Experience. "I was in an awful condition when I began taking Tanlac and had been for two years, but Tanlac got me back in good health," was the emphatic statement of Mrs. D. J. Burgin, of Greer, S. C., in a statement she gave May 10th in endorsement of Tanlac. "I was suffering from the after effects of malaria. My system was out of order, I was weak and run down and my face was as yellow as a pumpkin. My feet and legs felt like they were dead or 'asleep' and tingled all the time. Really I had begun to wonder if I ever would regain my health and I didn't think I had a chance, for so much medicine had failed to hel) me. In fact, I felt so badly that I often told my family at night I hoped there would be no stove in the house in the morning so I would not have to cook breakfast. I had stomach trouble very badly, too. "Tanlac is the grandest thing in the world for a condition like I was in, and it soon got my stomach in good shape, my face cleared up and regained the right color and my ap petite soon came back. No matter how bad a headache I had, one dose of Tanlac relieved it. Soon the Tan las had me feeling fine and strong, and after I had taken two bottles [ was well and strong. I took some of the Tanlac Tablets and they helped Tanlac ever so much to get me well. Those tablets are the best I ever took. I am glad to recommend Tanlac, for it is the first and, of course, the only medicine that ever helped me." Tanlac, the Master Medicine, is sold by Dickson's Drug Store, Man ning; L. W.
