A Great Sensation. There was a big sensation in Lees ville, Ind., when W. H. Brown of that place, who was expected to die, had his life saved by Dr. King's New Dis covery for Consumption. He writes: "I endured insufferable agonies from Asthma but your New Discovery gave me immediate relief and soon thereafter effected a complete cure. Similar cures of Consumption, Pneumonia, Bron chitis and Grip are numerous. It's the peerlees remedy for all throat and lung troubles. Price 50c. and $1.00. Guar anteed by The R. B. He Learned a Great Truth. It is said of John Wesley that e once said to Mrs. Wesley: "Why do you tell that child the same thing over and over again?" "John Wesley, be caususe once telling is not enough." It is for this same reason that you are told again and again that Chamber lain's Cough remedy cures cold and grip, that it counteracts any tendency of these diseases to result in pneumonia and that it is pleasant and safe to take. For sale by The R. B. Loryea Drug Store, Isaac M. Loryea, Prop. A man's true greatness lies in the consciousness of an honest purpose in life, founded on a just estimate of him self and everything else, and a steady obedience to the rule he knows to be right. Do Good-It Pays. A Chicago man ihas observed that, "Good deeds are better-than real estate deeds-some of the latter are worthless. Act kindly and gently, show symyathy and lend a helping hand. You cannot possiby lese by it." Most men appre ciate a kind word and encouragement more than substantial help. There are persons in this community who might truthfully say: "My good friend, cheer up. A few" doses of Chamberlain's Cough Remedy will rid you of your cold, and there is no danger whatever from .pneumonia when you use that medicine. It always cures. I know it for it has helped me out many a time. Sold by The R. B. Loryea Drug Store, Isaac M. Loryea, Prop. With every exertion the best of men can do but a moderate amount of good; but it seems in the power of the most contemptible individual to do incalcu lable mischief. - A Cure For Dyspepsia. The readers of THE TIMES must bear with us this week, as we have been very much over worked with matters not connected with the paper, and on this account it was a physical impossi bility to get out and search for news. On last Sunday night, near Work man, David Gamble, colored, was shot by Wash Harrington, colored, "bout one ooman." Gamble was hit above the heart with a pistol ball and so far the doctors have failed to locate the leaden missle. The circumstances of our daily life, the difflculties, the disappointments, the denials of our lot, our state of health or of fortune, the faults or errors of those with whom we live-these and such like infinencies pressing upon us form an entire system of discipline which continuously acts upon us. The great big advertisment of W. E. Jenkinson in this issue will I am satis fied be read with interest by the trad ing public. Jenkinson is a hustler. He has a great big store, and a great big stock, and he wants a great big trade. This he proposes to obtain by push, perserverance and progress, the three card nal principles of this mer cantile success. We understand that innocent parties are about to be financially hurt, be cause of careless purchasing of proper ty. It is always the safest and cheap est to make a thorough search of re cords before purchasing real estate and if you cannot do it yourself, it will be a paying investment to employ a respon sible lawyer to make the investigation. We sincerely hope the parties inter ested will be able to save themselves from any financial loss, and take their present experience as -a dearly bought lesson. A Perfect Painless Pil is the one that will cleanse the system, set the liver to action, remove the bile, clear the complevion, cure headache and leave a good taste in the mouth. The famous little pills for doing such work pleasantly and effectually are De Witt's Little Early Risers. Bod Moore of Lafayette,Ind., says: "All other pills I have used gripe and sicken, while DeWitts Little Early Risers are sim ply perfect.'.' Sold by The R. B. The store was very tastily decorated, not with flowers and green, but with bunt ings, and the goods carried in stock, so that those who entered their,. store could inspect the goods which they ,are offering for sale, and at the same time see the prices. Their store presented a beautiful appearance and the young gentlemen were exceedfhgly solicitous that everybody should be allowed ev ery opportunity to examine their goods. These young men are now try ing to build the foundation for a very large business, and the start they have made with the encouragement received from the people. is an indication that success will crown their efforts. A Visit to the Holly Land. -A few days-ago we received a pleas ant surprise, in the sha~pe of a letter from Rev. P. B. Wells, former pastor of the Manning Methodist church. He is now stationed at Abbeville, and al ready he has won the love and esteem of th'ose people. Mr. Wells has been chosen a delegate to the World's Sun dvy School convention, which convenes next spring in Jerusalemn, and it is his expectation to attend, leaving New York on the 8th of March by a special steamship of the North German Lloyd line, and he will be gone about 75 days. The trip will afford an excellent oppor tunity for Mr. Wells to give full sway tc his studious turn of mind. He will spend a few days at Gibralta, Malta, Maderira, Algiers. Constantinople, Athens. Rome, Naples, Egypt and the Holy Land, and we hope while in J eru salem if he happens to run across one of our ancestors, he will give the old ent a token, say a dollar or so, and let im kgow that his grandson on this side of the earth is yearnngtose4 him. We congratulate our friend upon hi: ood fortune in being selected for this rip as we know he will be greatly ben eited by it, and so will his friends.
