The colored people here are shown the most exact justice. They have good schools carefully looked after." Judge Pressley to Retire. It is rumored here on very good authori ty that Judge Pressley will not be a candi date for re-election at this meeting of the Legislature, but will retire from the bench. It is not idle rumor, either, as Judge Press ley is said to have told a gentleman of this city his intention when in Columbia last week. It is understood that General Izlar, of Orangeburg, will be one of the most prominent candidates to succeed the Judge. If the rumor is correct, and there seems good foundation for its truth. South Caro lina will lose one of her ablest and most worthy members of the bench, whose legal ability and high integrity has never yet been doubted or questioned.-Greenville News. DYSPEPSIA.
