The itinerary arranged by the county superintendent is rather strenuous, but it is the purpose to visit as many schools as possible in the limited time she will be in Newberry. I want to meet the parents and especially the mothers and others interested in the school at the hour named. . CONFEDERATE VETERANS REUNION IN CHATTANOOGA The United Confederate Veterans reunion will be held in Chattanooga, Tenn., Oct. 24-27. The Southern railway announces very low round trip fares on account of the above meeting for benefit of the members of the following: organizations and their families: United Confederate veterans; Sons of Confederate veterans; Confederated Southern Memorial association. Tickets will be sold only upon presentation of Identification Certificates furnished by camp commanders. M. M. Buford of Newberry, S. C., will furnish these certificates to veterans of Newberry county upon application. The round trip fare from Newberry j will be $6.58 and from Prosperity i $5.72, plus 8 per cent war tax.
