I wish to express the sense * this fathering of Summerland and Newbferrv college'people of the de*^) loss we have sustained in the death of Hon. -Geo. S. Mower, so long a member of the board of trustees an J always the friend of the faculty and student body. Though belonging to another denomination, has has placed the Lutheran church in Sou: Carolina and Geprgia under a lastng debt of obligation by the assistance he has always cheerfully supplied in every way izi his power.
