Schumpert of Prosperity was in Columbia yesterday. Mr. Schumpert formerly was engaged in business here, but recently purchased the stock cf dry goods of Moseley Bros, at Prosperity, which firm was discontinued. This was one of the old est business nouses in n-uspcuy, having been organized in 1S66 under the firm name of Wheeler & Moseley, later to be Conducted by Moseley Bros.?The State. ! Mr. J. E. H Evans. The buggy was totally demolished but the mule escaped uninjured The negroes were thrown violently from the buggy as the train struck it. One of them suffered a broken leg in several places with injuries; the other suffered severe injuries about the head. The negroes were given medical aid and are so| riously injured.
