Special to The Herald and News. Prosperity, Oct. 9.?Mothers-teach ers meeting of the first grade of the Prosperity school will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. All parents are urged to attend. Mrs. Addie Hodges has gone to Columbia to visit Dr. Sarah Sims. Miss Annie Laurie Lester of Columbia has been <visiting her mother, Mrs. Rosa Lester. Mrs. Alma Nance is spending a while with her father, Mr. J. L. Seasa, near Little Mountain. A painful accident happened at the oil mill Thursday morning, when Olin Taylor, one of the operatives, got his hand seriously injured in the press. Thp fpnr that Jm "will .Ioka two of his fingers. Miss Willie Mae (Wise'Spent Tuesday in Little Mountain. 'Mass Alda Rae Wheelr was hostess to the U. D. C. Wednesday afternoon. Miss Annie Lee Langford was elected president to succeed Miss Gertrude Bobb, who resigned. A delightful ice course was served. Mrs. John S. Harmon of the O'Neall section, who has been sick for a long time, died suddenly Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Harmon was a good woman, and will be sadly missed in the community.
