Som* are short ami some j are tall; some are thin and some are' s out; some are slow and some are j swift; some are brunettes and soiu" are blondes, (some are blondes by na- , ture and some by art); some have! dark hair and seme have other color; | . . . . ! some grow tneir own and some buy it; eome have perseverance and some ir.iive none; some pay their debts and some do not; some are religious and some are not, some are statesmen and some, fortunately, are not. So, some schools have play grounds and some have none; some have sanitary drinking fountains and some have not; gome teach cultured subjects, such as music anc1 art, and some do rot; some have agricultural clubs and same have not; some teachers siay 'two years in one place, but most of them do not; some teachers are helpful to their pupils and some are not; some have programmes and some have none; some follow their programmes and some do not; some will take part j in field day and some will not; some are old though young in years, and some are young through all the passing of the years; while others, though teaching for a living, yet teach howto live. Some teach with their lips, while actions belie their words. Some schools are run by officials for the children, others by officials for a higher or more lucrative office. Some superintendents consider a public office a public trust, while others consider a public office a private snap. Florence, March 24.?The firm of a number of "Booster" trips to be run by the business men of Florence, under tiiP auspices of the Florence Chamber of Commerce, was run today, and the trip made was over the Atlantic Coast . Line from Florence to Lanes, thence to Sumter and back into Florence, covering a distance of 135 miles, and shopping at 17 towns along the line. In other words it was a trip "around the belt/' and was in every particular a most successful and a pleasant one, as well as a mos: profitable one.
