Mr. Jones is the carder, a young man in his prime, when the spinners need roving, they get it every time. Mr. Thompson is boss spinner, the best of yarn he spins. The stork came to see him, and left two pretty twins. Mr. Rikard runs the cloth room, and ships the cloth away, we like to see it going, for that always brings the pay. We have a fine bunch of fixers, in fact they can't be beat. They are gentlemen when at their work and also on the street. Some say the best fixer, is one that will not ramble. These work every day and draw full pay, especially Tom R. Campbell. In sunshine and rain, Mr. Crain makes the spoolers do their duties. He has some girls at home. The boys all think they are beauties. The Oakland girls are small around the waist, pretty in the face, and built up to perfection. The boy that gets one for a wife, will make a goodselection. A loom fixer went by, 1 heard one cry, go way you old fault finder. I make as good cloth as they make up North, and she turned her face behind her. The picker stick picks and the batteries bat. The suttles fly to and fro. The gears they go round and round, and the harness does just so. Mr. Smith runs looms near the wat. He gets lots of cloth, and wants it all when he goes home he hurries back, and makes them Jboms go whickety whack. Mt. Hallman runs the next set, no weaver ever j idm yet. His sight is so fair, he j . can see a hair. When pay day comes.: lie is always there. The next weav- [ er standing by surely makes his' shuttles flv. It takes so much filling to keep them ! going, it makes the filling man sick.
