Pomaria, March 13.?Vaccination is the order of the day in Pomaria. The small pox scare has about vanished.: Mr. Glymph, the only case in town, ^ is able to be up but still confined to! his room. Material is being placed on the - ground for the new school building, \ also for the new Methodist church here. Mr. G. J. Wilson's family have been sick for two weeks with la grippe. >Ve are glad to report all able to be up at this* time. Mr. J. L. Graham has a new permanent boarder?a little boy. Rev. and Mrs. Lynn have been call A v? * * ed to Rockwood, to see tneir son, aithur. He is seriously ill with measles and pneumonia. Mrs. Lizzie Summer, widow of the late Silas C. Summer, who departed this life 26 years ago was buried at j St. John's church this afternoon at 4 ' o'clock. She was 69 years old, has j in nnnr health several }Vars. The j WV'VU x *-* ^ - - _ funeral services were conducted by | her pastor, Rev. E. J. Sox. Another one of our old and respectf ed citizens, Mr. J. E. Stuck was buried 1 at St. John's also this week. Caused by Death of Judge Priuce's Brother-in-Law. Laurens, March 10.?The court of .general sessions convened this morning, but adjourned at 1 o'clock until Wednesday, because of the death at Anderson of Dr. Richardson, brotherin-law of Judge Prince, who is holding the court. The grand jury passed on several indictments, including one against Luther Boozer, a prominent Newberry county farmer, who is charged with assault and battery with intent to kill, it being alleged that he fired several shots into the residence of L.
