Mrs. Lilla Bowles, wife of Mr. Henry Bowles, died at her home here on Fri- ( day afternoon, after a lingering illness of tuberculosis of the throat, aged 31 years, and was buried at the Prosperity cemetery on Saturday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock, service by the Rev. A. M. Gardner. Besides her husband she leave-- one child to mourn her deatn. i Mrs. Bowles was a great sufferer. Sometime ago she was taken to the Columbia hospital and underwent a serious and difficult operation, and was . hvnncrVit hnm-p in srood hone of I a better condition; but all that skilled; surgeons and physicians, nurses and, devoted relatives could do to aid her . recovery availed net, and death'end'd her suffering.
