Henry Ricbardson Victim'of De plorable Tragedy Near Sum merton. Sumnmerton, Oct. 19.-One of the 'most deplorable tragedies in the his tory of this community occurred near here this morning, when the young fe of Mr. Henry B. Richardson was incidentally shot ana tilled by a gun n the hands of her husband. From e testimony brought out at the cor ner's inquest, held at the home at n, it appears that Mr. and Mrs. chardson were preparing to drive to Summerton nnmediately after reakfast. The deceased was in her ed room when her husband entered nd picked up a douoie-barreled shot n from a corner, m~tending to kill a chicken with it. While speaking to his wife he examined the gun to see i! it was loaded, ana as he closed the reech there was a deafening report, ~folowed by a cry of pain, and the young woman fell mortally wounded to the floor. The entire load entered hfr left side, just beneath the arm, teari.4, her heart --ntirely away na causing immed.a.te death. She was the daughter of Mr. James Douglas Deas, formerly of Camden, but now living here. Mr. Deas is in tihe west at the present time. She had several brothers and a sister, all of who~m have been notified of the accident. Tne husband is a young *ma.n of great promiise and is completely overwhelmed by the ter rible tragedy. The iinterment will be at St. Mark's church, Clarendon, at 3 o'clock on Fri day afternoon, 20th mnstant. The sym pathy of the entire community goes out to the young husband and groom in his grief. Spartanburg, Oct. 21.-David Fow ler, aged 12, of Cherokee Springs, this afternoon shot and killed his brother, Dewey Fow.ler, aged 10. The shooting occurred at the home of the boys. The two boys were playing together and, it seems, that Dave became enraged at his younger brother over some child ish matter. Securing his father's gun, he fired the fatal shot. Dewey fell in the yard and died within a few min utes. Coroner Turner was notified and the result of the verdict of the coroner's jury was that the deceased came to his death from a gunshot wound in the hands of his brother, Dave. The case will be investigated in the courts. NOTICE OF FINAL SETTLEMENT.
