The following is the plan of orgau ization: It is desired that the white citizens of the town of Newberry, S. C., should have the advantage of a Park situated near the ceLtre of the town. The land necessary for such a park can be obtained at a reasonable price by the purchase of a strip of land on both sides of Scott's creek between Calhoun and'College streets. It is deemed best and advisable to have said park owned and controlled by an organization duly chartered un der the laws of the State of South Carolina. It is proposed to have the capital stock of said corporation $10,000, di vided into one thousand shares of the par value of $10 each. The land purchased for said park shall be and remain in the arbsolute possession and under the management and control of the proposed corpora tion so long as the said land shall be used for a park, but in case it should PERITY- cease to be used for that pu.rpose then and in that event the stockholders of ulig-Easter Men- E the proposed corpor..'on shall each h1sve an interest therein according to the number of shares of stock held at -Sunday at that time.
