Watts met with a peculiar ecurrence a few days ago which1 came near resulting in a serious af fair. Mr. Watts was running thro:'gh a patch of large cockle burrs after Y some hogs and sucked a burr in his throat. Dr. J. S. Wheeler, of Prosper-: ity, was phoned for at once and on his Th 6 arrival found he could not remove the w burr and advised Mr. Watts to go at once to the Columbia hospital. On Mr. Watt's arrival at the hospital and AL after some time of very tedious work the burr was- removed from his throat. Mr. Watts is doing nicely now only he w r has a very sore throat.
